Books for children 12-24 months
You should spend a few extra minutes reading a story or book to your child. An example would be a quarter of an hour before bedtime or during the day. When you read, use different inflections to capture their attention. Allow him to ask questions about the pictures.
If you have pens and pencils in hand, let your child scribble on the pages of a book. From the standpoint of their psychomotor development at this stage, let your child pass each page of a book.
Books for children 2-3 years
During this stage, children are able to understand more concepts and use more words. Choose books based on their preferences and spend 25 minutes per day reading.
You can help your child improve their verbal ability by buying two to three books that contain text and images, cutouts and coloring pages. This will help them develop their creativity and manual dexterity.
Books for children 3 to 5 years
Reading is starting to interest your son. Spend approximately 20 minutes and a half hour each day reading with your child. If you read, it will be easier for him to learn to read on his own.
You need to choose books with more words, less pictures. Right now your child has the ability to picture the details of the history in his mind and feels complicit with the characters.
